Having run divisions of large corporations, banks and tech giants, we've successfully reviewed, negotiated and signed thousands of contracts.  Our personal experiences as consumers, however, have been a different story.


The idea for SimpleTerms was born on a visit to the urgent care facility with one of our kids.  At check-in, we were presented with pages and pages of complex health consent forms without any explanation. 

Perhaps like many parents, we just blindly signed hoping to get our toddler the care she needed as quickly as possible.  It wasn't until later that the thought of literally "signing away our firstborn" came to mind...
